Work
As a budding journalism student, I have many projects and jobs that are simulaneously on the go. I enjoy doing all these projects, especially as they give me a wide variety of experience from which I can draw from in the future in both my personal and professional lives.
ComaCARE:
At the moment I am under the employment of ComaCARE which is a non-profit organisation that deals with coma patients and the training of volunteers and the family members of those coma patients. Read More Here.
567 Cape Talk:
In roughly two weeks time I will be starting a week of observation work which I have to complete for my second year journalism course. This observation work or ‘internship’ will take place at 567 Cape Talk from the 5th to the 10th of July and I will have to write a report on my experience. Keep up to date with my day-to-day blog entries here.
Freelance Work:
I am a journalism student who is interested in human stories, in bringing to light those stories which fascinate, enthrall as well as terrify my readers… at the moment I am planning on writing some human interest articles on patients from The Red Cross Children’s Hospital in Cape Town and I will attempt to get them published in some South African magazine. Get a preview of these articles here.
